This list is comprised of songs released on the MCA group of record labels (Decca, Coral and Brunswick, in addition to the late '60s subsidiary label Uni). Not included are recordings from the U.K. Decca Records, a separate company that distributed music in the U.S. on entirely different labels. Rankings are based on the popularity of each song during the period of 1950 through 1969.

1950 was the company's best year by far with 17 songs represented. Overall, there are 75 entries from the 1950s on the list, leaving just 25 from the 1960s, ten of which are by the top artist, Brenda Lee. Webb Pierce is next with six entries, followed by Gordon Jenkins with five (including three featuring The Weavers). The Four Aces, Teresa Brewer (the top Coral act) and Jackie Wilson (the top Brunswick act) each have four, as do The Weavers (including the three with Jenkins). Artists that appear three times include Bill Haley and his Comets, The McGuire Sisters, The Ames Brothers, Guy Lombardo, Bobby Helms, Don Cornell and Kitty Wells. Bing Crosby has three (including two where he's credited as the "Friend" of son Gary Crosby). Buddy Holly and the Crickets (using each name separately) have a combined total of three songs on the list.
