Permanent duet acts are included as well as any two artists who came together to record duets separate from his or her individual careers. Rankings are based on the popularity of each artist during the period of 1950 through 1969.

Two artists appear three times: Frankie Laine, with Jo Stafford (#20), Jimmy Boyd (#84) and Doris Day (#90); and Marvin Gaye, with Tammi Terrell (#9), Mary Wells (#51) and Kim Weston (#68).
